Case summary

A resident of Likhoslavl (Tver Region). He was taken into custody in connection with the arson of the local military recruitment centre. It was initially reported that he confessed to committing a terrorist act and carried out the arson, expecting to be paid 40,000 rubles. Later, the project "Solidarity Zone" reported that at first Lazakovich was charged with damage to property (part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code) and confessed under this article, while money was not at all in question. When the charge was reclassified, the young man refused to testify. Lazakovich is also charged with abuse of dead bodies (part 1 of article 244 of the Criminal Code). According to "Solidarity Zone", the case file confirms his guilt on this episode. On 29 May 2024 Lazakovich was sentenced to 11 years in a strict regime colony.
