According to the investigation, in 2023, he "decided to assist representatives of the Republic of Ukraine and organisations of this state acting against the security of the Russian Federation by providing information about the activities and facilities of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation". Using Telegram, he contacted representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine (GUR) and the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC). In total, the indictment mentions about a dozen Telegram accounts allegedly belonging to the GUR and RVC, with which Levin corresponded. According to the court's verdict, between 1between 19 January and 28 March 2024, 2024, he passed information to the GUR and RVC about a military airfield in the Krasnodar region, a military unit in Novorossiysk, as well as coordinates, photos of the area and schemes of location of military and civilian vessels in Tsemesskaya Bay and the port of Novorossiysk.

Full summary
He lived in Donetsk region (Ukraine), moved to Krasnodar region, studied to become a computer network specialist. On 5 April 2024, he was detained, and the next day he was arrested for 15 days for disobeying a lawful order of police officers (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences): the report stated that he "behaved suspiciously, bent to the ground, looked around, placed stickers, began to run away at the sight of approaching police officers", and the court order stated that he "carried out intelligence activities in the interests of Ukraine for a payment of 175 US dollars". On 10 April, 2024, a case was opened against him for participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation: according to the investigation, he cooperated with the Russian Volunteer Corps. The next day Levin was placed in custody. On 26 August, 2024, he was also accused of high treason: according to the investigation, he passed information about military facilities to the RVC, as well as to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. On 6 March, 2025, Levin was sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment in a strict regime penal colony.
