Case summary
Geodesist, father of seven children, the youngest was six months old when the persecution started. He said that during a rally in support of Navalny on 23 January 2021, he was beaten with batons and tried to defend himself from the blows of law enforcers. On 28 January 2021, Lomov's home was searched, he was detained and placed in custody the next day on charges of using violence against a representative of the authorities at a rally in support of Alexei Navalny on 23 January 2021. At the trial, where the issue of the measure of restraint was considered, Lomov said that he was beaten with batons, and he tried to defend himself from the blows. He pleaded guilty and agreed to a special trial.
On 23 March he was sentenced to two years of suspended sentence, released on his own recognisance.
