On 11 June 2025, he was detained and then placed in custody on charges of participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation and involvement in terrorist activities. According to the investigation, Lyaskovsky wrote to his acquaintance in WhatsApp with a proposal to go to Ukraine and take part in the activities of the "Russian Volunteer Corps".
