According to the investigation, in March 2022 he joined a unit of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, and from July to October 2023 was in training for the landing of a Ukrainian sabotage group in Crimea - in particular, "acquired hand-to-hand combat skills and studied the rules of handling firearms". "...voluntarily joined an organised group to commit a planned terrorist act - landing on the territory of the Chernomorsk district in the Republic of Crimea, carrying out photo and video recording of the fact that the Ukrainian state flag was planted there and an armed attack on servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. On 4 October 2023, together with other individuals, using jet skis and a boat for movement, in possession of firearms, illegally crossed the State border of the Russian Federation from the territory of Ukraine. They then proceeded towards the coastline with the aim landing on the coast of the Chernomorsk district of the Republic of Crimea. However, the criminal group was detected by the guards of the Border Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Republic of Crimea. After being detected by the guards of the FSB Border Department, the organised criminal group began steering away the jet skis and fled the scene. Lubas, who was sitting in the passenger seat of one of the jet skis, fell into the water during the sharp manoeuvering. After that, the defendant was detained by officers of the Federal Security Service.
