Case summary
In March 2021, Lyulin's home was searched. On 10 August, he was detained near Belgorod, stuffed into the luggage compartment of a minibus, his hands handcuffed to the handrails under the ceiling and his legs taped to the seat. On 13 August, the court decided to take him into custody on charges of organising the activities of an extremist organisation. On 1 March 2022 he was transferred to house arrest. 11 July 2022 elected preventive measure changed to prohibition of certain actions. On 27 February 2023, sentenced to six years and one month in a general regime colony. On 22 March, the court of appeal instance cancelled the sentence and returned the case to the court of first instance, Lyulin's preventive measure was replaced with a ban on certain actions.
