Case summary

On 29 July 2021, Zhiltsov was detained, on 30 July the court sent him under house arrest on charges of organising activities of an extremist organisation and financing extremist activities. On 11 July 2022, the measure of restriction was changed to prohibition of certain actions. On 27 February 2023, he was sentenced to six years and one month in a general regime penal colony. On 22 March, the appeals court cancelled the sentence and returned the case to the court of the first instance, Zhiltsov's measure of restriction was replaced with prohibition of certain actions.
