Case summary
A resident of Tolyatti. On 23 September 2019, he was detained in a terrorist organization case for alleged involvement in the Islamist party "Hizb ut-Tahrir", which has no connection to terrorism. On 28 September, the court sent him to custody. It later became known that Mammadov was also charged of publicly justifying terrorism.
On 2 March 2021 he was sentenced to 12 years in a strict regime colony. On 17 June, the appellate court sent the case for review. On 13 February 2024, the same sentence was issued.
