Case summary

He worked as a sound engineer at the Bratsk shopping mall. In January 2023, it became known that he was detained on suspicion of arson of a military recruitment centre. After that, the TV company said that he no longer worked for them, and his name was removed from the TRK website. At first Mikheev was charged with intentional destruction of property (part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code), but then the charge was reclassified as committing a terrorist act that caused substantial property damage (point "c" of part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code). Mikheev was in custody. Then he was transferred to a psychiatric hospital for six months, after which he was returned to the detention centre. Later it became known that he was charged with the 1st, milder, part of the article on committing a terrorist act, but the charge of undergoing training for the purpose of terrorist activity and treason was also added - the transfer of money to the legion "Freedom of Russia" appeared in the case. On 27 January 2025 Mikheev was sentenced to eighteen years in a strict regime colony.
