Case summary

He worked as a receptionist in a hotel. Pershin's child was two years old at the time of the prosecution. On 18 February 2021, Pershin was detained and taken into custody on charges of using violence against an official at a rally in support of Alexei Navalny on 31 January. A medical examination showed that the injuries allegedly inflicted by Pershin did not harm the riot police officer's health. Pershin's friend says that she saw how the enforcer chased Ilya, slipped and fell, while Pershin managed to escape. There are no video recordings of the episode - on the day of the rally the necessary cameras were allegedly not working. On 6 September he was sentenced to three years in a penal colony. On 21 April 2023 he was released.
