According to the investigation, on 27 March 2019, "being under the influence of the organisers of the rally", he broke off several pieces of stone from the plinth of one of the buildings and brought them to the square where the unsanctioned rally was taking place; he threw the stone at a policeman and hit him in the leg, slightly injuring him.

Full summary
On 8 April 2019, he was detained on suspicion of involvement in the attack on police officers during a rally against the transfer of land to Chechnya on March 27 in Magas. He was sent to a pre-trial detention centre in Nalchik. He pleaded guilty and agreed to a special order of proceeding of the case.
On December 24, he was sentenced to one and a half years in a penal colony. On 13 January 2020, he was released.
