Case summary

A resident of Kaluga, a member of the anti-fascist movement. In March 2022, a number of local activists had their homes searched, and the premises of a garage which served as the rehearsal space of a local band called Social Distancing were also examined. It became known that a case of public justification of terrorism had been opened because of leaflets with a picture of Mikhail Zhlobitsky, who had staged a self-detonation in the building of the FSB in the Arkhangelsk region. On October 18, 2022, Proshkina was sentenced to a fine of 150,000 rubles. In November 2024, the prosecutor's office filed a statement of claim with the court to recognise the "public organisation" and the rock band (which by then had already been disbanded for over two years) Social Distancing as a terrorist organisation, with Proshkina listed as one of the founders of such organization and an active participant.
