Case summary
A native of the Komi Republic, he worked in St. Petersburg as a trucker. A case was opened against him for the use of violence at the 21 April 2021 rally in support of Alexei Navalny. Acquaintances claim that Punegov tried to free the girl, who was seized by law enforcers. He was taken into custody. On 18 August 2021, Punegov was sentenced to a year in a penal colony. On 8 November he was released.
