Case summary
Resident of the city Kazan. On 14 March 2017, he was detained after a search and arrested on charges of involvement in a terrorist organisation in connection with his alleged involvement in the Islamist political organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir, which is not a terrorist organisation.
A charge of incitement to hatred was added on 25 December, and a charge of calling for terrorist activity was added on 8 January 2018.
On 5 February 2020, he was sentenced to 15 years in a strict regime colony.
