Sergey Sandin

On 2 February 2011, officers of the Centre for Countering Extremism searched Sandin's place of residence. He was taken to the police station, where he was held for more than a day without food and water, not allowed to sleep and being pressed (including physical pressure) in order to obtain confessions against other members of the Barnaul anarchist community. In the ward Sandin had an asthma attack. During the search, computers and other office equipment were seized. The search was carried out with procedural violations, the search warrant did not contain a stamp. The reason for the case was a poster on sexual infections with the inscription "Do you need such travelling companions?", on which were pasted portraits of Putin, Medvedev, Zyuganov, Zhirinovsky and the governor of Altai Krai Alexander Karlin. In 2012, the criminal case was closed due to lack of an offence.
