Case summary

A resident of Sarov (Nizhny Novgorod Region), a physicist, worked at the Russian Federal Nuclear Centre. He was prosecuted for financing terrorism and high treason for a money transfer to the Freedom of Russia Legion, the Russian Volunteer Corps, and the Get Lost project. At the trial, he stated that he believed he was transferring money, thereby helping people in difficult life situations. On 15 January 2025, he was sentenced to 18 years in a strict regime penal colony.
