Case summary

Resident of Alushta (Crimea). In December 2014, local propaganda media reported that he might have been involved in the murder of VGTRK journalist Igor Kornelyuk and sound recordist Anton Voloshin, a crime for which Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko was accused. This did not have any development. No later than August 21, 2024, Shogin was taken into custody on charges of participation in the activities of a terrorist community: according to the investigation, he served as a member of the Ukrainian battalion Aidar. On July 10, 2025, he was sentenced to 16 years in a strict regime colony.
