According to the investigation, from September 22 to October 21, 2024, he underwent training in terrorist activities “at a training ground located near the settlement of Orlovshchyna in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine.” There, in November of the same year, he “voluntarily took an oath and joined the 48th Separate Assault Battalion, the ‘Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion named after Noman Сhelebicihan.’” “Subsequently, until January 26, 2025, while performing the duties of a machine gun crew member, he participated in combat operations as part of the 48th Separate Assault Battalion of the Noman Chelebicihan Battalion in the Volnovakha district of the Donetsk People’s Republic, near the settlement of Blahodatne.” Until the time he was captured, he did not inform the Russian authorities about his participation in a terrorist organization.
