Case summary
He was detained and arrested in October 2016 together with eight other people on charges of participation in the activities of an extremist organization, and his home was searched. Sudiiarov admitted involvement in Tablighi Jamaat, but refused to admit that he participated in the activities of an extremist organization. On 20 April 2017, he was sentenced to two years in a penal colony. On 26 September, the court of appeal reduced the sentence to one year and nine months. He was released on 27 July 2018. On 25 January 2023, he was removed from Rosfinmonitoring's list of terrorists and extremists.
