Case summary

A resident of Sevastopol. She was prosecuted for vandalism for anti-Russian graffiti on benches and for confidential cooperation with a foreign state. The investigators claimed that she provided a representative of Ukraine with information about the movements of warships and aviation and the locations of the Russian Armed Forces. On July 22, 2024, the case was sent to court, and on September 3, Svetlishina was sentenced to five years and three months in a general-regime colony. On July 8, 2025, the court of appeals satisfied the prosecutor's complaint and returned the case to the prosecutor's office, reclassifying the charges as treason. In October, the court sentenced Svetlishina to thirteen years and three months in a general-regime colony.
