According to the investigation, acting as part of a group together with Abdul Avtorhanov and Alikhan Maashaev, while at the “Alley of Glory” in the city of Nevinnomyssk—a public place—on the pedestal of a cultural heritage site of regional significance, the “Eternal Glory” Obelisk, erected to commemorate the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945 and serving as a symbol of Russia’s military glory, Terloev acted deliberately, being aware of the public danger of his actions, foreseeing the inevitable socially dangerous consequences in the form of violating the general principles established by Article 44 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, which guarantees the duty of every person to preserve historical and cultural heritage and protect monuments of history and culture. Indifferently disregarding these consequences, and with the intent of publicly desecrating symbols of Russia’s military glory and insulting the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland, while displaying disrespect for Russian society, he performed no fewer than 56 movements of raising and lowering the sole of his shoe toward the Eternal Flame of the “Eternal Glory” Obelisk, thereby desecrating the symbol of Russia’s military glory and insulting the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland.
