Full wording of the charges
The version of the investigators was that the "Self-Defence of Starobelsk" joined the AFU battalion "Aidar", which was a terrorist community. Tsarevsky joined the "Self-Defence" in April 2014, before it joined Aidar. The investigation claims that Tsarevsky had the intention to participate in this community in order to destabilise the situation in the Luhansk People's Republic and in the Russian Federation. For this purpose, Tsarevsky was on duty at checkpoints. Piotr Tsarevsky does not deny participation in the self-defence, but claims that this structure was created by local residents to restore order and protect the property of citizens at a time when there was actually no legitimate authority in Starobelsk. Piotr Tsarevsky denies involvement in terrorism.

Citizen of Ukraine. In 2014, he served in the Aidar battalion. Farmer, deputy of Starobelsky District Council in Luhansk region (Ukraine). On 10 March 2022, unknown persons abducted him from his home. At the end of April, his relatives learnt that he was in custody on charges of participation in the activities of a terrorist community. On 18 June 2024, Tsarevsky was sentenced to imprisonment, term unknown.
