Case summary

He was detained on 11 September 2020 after an altercation with police officers who dispersed a protest of truckers in Tver against the Platon system. Vedrov was accused of assaulting a police officer. On the night of 12 September, he was released on a promise to appear to give explanations. On 15 September, Vedrov was detained again as a suspect and placed in a temporary detention centre. On 17 September the court sent him to house arrest.

On 19 February 2021, he was given a two-and-a-half-year suspended sentence. On 15 July, the appellate court reduced the term to two years. On 18 May 2022, Vedrov had the record of his conviction expunged early.
