Case summary

Accused of using violence against police captain Bondarev-Sofrin during the dispersal of an anti-corruption rally on 26 March 2017 in Petrozavodsk. The victim went to the doctor on 31 March, he was diagnosed with a "bruised nose". Bondarev found the video on which the prosecution is basing its case on the internet. Of the four prosecution witnesses, only one said he saw Vladenkov hit a police officer. According to the defence version, Vladenkov tried to protect another protester as force was used against him. The verdict states that one of the exhibits in the case is "a DVD disc with a video recording of the 'He Is Not Dimon to You in Petrozavodsk - YouTube' rally". Vladenkov claimed that he did not hit anyone, referring to the video recording. On 26 December he was sentenced to a year of suspended sentence.
