Case summary

He attempted to cross the border with Poland after receiving a summons: being of Ukrainian origin, he did not want to fight against his own people. He was detained and a criminal case was opend for attempted illegal border crossing . Yatsenyuk was under a recognisance not to leave the country, he was fired from his job. On 8 February 2023, he was sentenced to six months of forced labour.
