Case summary

On 27 July 2019, he was detained during the dispersal of a rally for fair elections. On 31 July, Zhukov's home was searched, after which he was detained in a criminal case. On 2 August he was taken into custody by court order. On 17 August, it became known that the investigative actions against Zhukov in the case of violence against a representative of the authorities have already been completed and that the charge of participation in mass riots is not in the case.

On 4 September, he was sentenced to three years in a general regime colony. On 22 September 2020, the court of cassation instance commuted the sentence to two and a half years in an open prison. He was released on 19 November 2021.
