Case summary
Detained and arrested in March 2017 on charges of being involved in the Hizb ut-Tahrir party, which was recognized as a terrorist organisation by the Russian authorities recognised. In September, the court returned the case to the prosecutor's office. On December 12th, he was sentenced to 10 years in a strict-regime penal colony. On the 1t of March, 2018, the sentence was cancelled due to the fact that the judge, who returned the case to the prosecutor's office, participated in hearings after the second filing of the case with the court. On April 2nd, he was again sentenced to 10 years in a strict-regime penal colony.
