Case summary

A resident of Bashkortostan. He was wanted in connection with the case of mass unrest related to the public gathering in Baymak on 17 January 2024, held in support of activist Fail Alsynov, who had been sentenced to four years’ imprisonment. Bikbulatov was later taken into custody. On 26 February 2025, he was sentenced to five years in a general-regime penal colony. In June 2025, his sentence was reduced by three months on appeal.
