Case summary

A blogger from Adygea. On 15 August 2023, she was searched and then detained. The next day she was charged with insulting the feelings of believers and publicly justifying terrorism because of her statements about burning churches and the terrorist attack in Jerusalem. On 17 August, the court sent Angel Barocco to custody. In January 2024, it became known that she was not receiving medical care in the detention centre, had restricted communication with everyone except her lawyer, and had not been handed letters for a month. In August 2024, OVD-Info was notified that Angel-Barocco had been released from custody. On 11 September 2024, Angel-Barocco was sentenced to two years' probation and a fine of 100,000 rubles.
