Житель Владикавказа. 20 апреля 2020 года его задержали после разгона народного схода и взяли под стражу по обвинению в применении не опасного для жизни насилия в отношении представителя власти. Позже это обвинение сняли, вменив участие в массовых беспорядках и незаконный оборот оружия: по версии силовиков, у Бестаева в автомобиле находился пистолет ПМ со сбитыми номерами, а дома — автомат Калашникова с большим запасом патронов. 7 июля 2022 года Бестаева приговорили к четырем годам и трем месяцам колонии общего режима. Предположительно, вышел на свободу в апреле 2023 года.
