Case summary

Blogger under the pseudonym "Mari Govori", a YouTube creator. After the outbreak of war in Ukraine, she left for Estonia. In 2021, Chistyakova said that employees of the Investigative Committee in Nizhny Novgorod took explanations from her because of the photo in underwear with the image of the Virgin Mary, but refused to initiate a case of insulting the feelings of believers.

In April 2022, her parents were searched, and in June it became known that a criminal case was opened against Maria. One of the reasons for the initiation was the complaint of Penza resident Denis Kolotilin, head of the regional "Society for the protection of consumer rights in the field of construction". The "Forty Forties" and Vladislav Pozdnyakov's "Men's State" also urged their supporters to write complaints about Chistyakova's photos.
