Case summary
He's a resident of Ufa and a pensioner.
On the 24th of March 2022, he was searched and placed in custody. Efimov was charged with participation in the activities of a terrorist community, preparation for the overthrow of power, public justification of terrorism and attempted extortion or theft of weapons.
The defendants in the case reported the use of violence while being taken to court, as well as the fact that the investigators put pressure in the pre-trial detention centre, forcing them to familiarize themselves with the case files on an accelerated timeline.
According to Mediazona, Sergei Sapozhnikov, who also participated in the activities of the community and is a witness in the case, testified against its members. He stated that the community was preparing to seize power.
On the 16th of December 2025, Efimov was sentenced to 18 years in a strict regime colony.
