Case summary
A resident of Ufa. In 2014, he fought as a volunteer in one of the battalions of the so-called Luhansk People's Republic.
On March 24, 2022, he was searched and placed in custody. Burkeev was accused of participation in the activities of a terrorist community, preparation for the overthrow of power and attempted extortion or theft of weapons.
The defendants in the case reported the use of violence during transport to the court, as well as the fact that the investigators put pressure in the pre-trial detention centre, forcing to accelerate familiarisation with the case files.
According to "Mediazona," it was Sergei Sapozhnikov who testified against the participants of the circle. He also participated in the work of the circle and is a witness in the case. According to him, the circle was preparing to seize power.
On December 16, 2025, Burkeev was sentenced to a 16-year term in a strict regime penal colony.
