Case summary
Resident of St. Petersburg. Detained on 6 April 2017. He was taken into custody on charges of involvement in the terrorist attack in the St. Petersburg metro on 3 April 2017, as human rights activists believe, without grounds. First held in a pre-trial detention centre in St. Petersburg, then transferred to Moscow, in April 2019 he, like the other defendants, was taken to St. Petersburg.
On 10 December, he was sentenced to 19 years in a strict regime colony. On 6 August 2021, the court of appeal reduced the term by a month.
