According to the investigation, "realising his criminal intent", he used the YouTube account Ruslan Gabbasov and the Telegram channel "The One from Bashkort" to call on the residents of Bashkortostan "to participate in mass disturbances involving" obstruction of the work of the court, blocking roads in Baymak and failure to comply with the demands of police officers, "at the same time, an unlimited number of YouTube and Telegram users were given the opportunity to comment on the publications without any censorship on the comments that incite the viewers to participate in the organisation of mass protests, with their subsequent escalation into mass riots". Gabbasov claims that he did not urge people to come to the meeting to the court, but only mentioned the upcoming sentence of Fail Alsynov and said that there was no need to keep silent.

Full summary
Bashkir activist. He left Russia after a case of preparation for hooliganism was brought against other local activists in January 2021. In September 2022, a case was brought against Gabbasov himself for organising the activities of an extremist community - the national public organisation Bashkort. In October 2022, Gabbasov was included in the register of "foreign agents". In February 2023, the Prosecutor General's Office declared undesirable the "Free Nations League", a non-governmental organisation registered in Lithuania - a platform of national movements of the peoples of Russia. Gabbasov is one of the participants of the platform. In April 2023, another case was brought against Gabbasov for public justification of terrorism.
In November, a case was brought against Gabbasov's brother, Rustam Fararitdinov, as part of a case of facilitation of terrorist activity. According to Gabbasov, his brother was told that he would be released if Gabbasov returned to Russia.
In January 2024, a case was opened against Gabbasov for organising mass disorder in connection with a people's assembly in Baymak on 17 January in support of another representative of the national movement, Fail Alsynov, who was sentenced to four years in prison. It later became known that as part of this case Gabbasov is also accused of participating in the activities of an "undesirable organisation" (presumably the Free Russia Forum) and evading his duties as a "foreign agent". On 24 March 2026, he was sentenced in absentia in this case to 14 years' imprisonment.
