Case summary
A resident of Baimak (Bashkortostan). Father of six children, one of whom has a disability. He also provided for his sister's children. On 18 January 2024, he was arrested for 10 days under an administrative article on disobeying the lawful demands of police officers (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences) in connection with a public gathering held the previous day in support of activist Fail Alsynov, who was sentenced to four years in prison. On 27 January, the man was taken into custody on charges of organising and participating in mass riots. In September 2024, it was reported that Gaisin was accused solely of organising the riots.
