Case summary

Tajikistan national, lived in Moscow. In September 2021, he was detained and taken into custody on the charges of organising the activity of a terrorist organisation. According to the investigation, he was one of the cell leaders of the Islamist party "Hizb ut-Tahrir", recognised as a terrorist organisation and banned in Russia. Alleged members of this Islamist party are prosecuted by Russian authorities on the charges of party affiliation, rather than direct terrorist activity.

On the 7th of December 2022, a verdict was handed down, further details are unknown.
