Case summary

Entrepreneur. In the Republic of Belarus, he was convicted under part 2 of article 342 of the Criminal Code ("Organisation and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order or active participation in them") to 3 years in a general regime colony. In January 2022, the Moscow City Court decided to transfer Alexander to a Russian colony. After extradition, on 11 April 2022, the Savelovsky District Court of Moscow changed the article to part 2 of article 212 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation in mass riots"). He was detained since 27 October 2020, released after serving his sentence on 16 June 2023.
