Case summary
On 25 May 2021, he was named a suspect in a criminal case on charges of participation in At-Taqfir wal-Hijra. The case was initiated under the article concerning involvement in the activities of an extremist organisation. According to another individual prosecuted in the same case, Ishmitov was "forced through threats and blackmail" to confess to being a member of the movement. He was given a recognisance not to leave the country. On 23 September 2022, Bachin was sentenced, details unknown. On 21 November 2025, he was removed from Rosfinmonitoring’s list of extremists and terrorists.
