Case summary

A resident of the Gafuriysky District of Bashkortostan. On 1 February 2024, he was summoned to the police department, afterwards he was taken to the temporary detention facility in Sterlitamak. The next day, the court arrested him for 10 days under an administrative case initiated in connection with a popular gathering in Baymak on 17 January in support of activist Fail Alsynov, who was sentenced to four years in prison. On 7 February, the man was taken to Ufa, after which he was taken into custody in the criminal case initiated in connection with the gathering. He was charged with participation in mass riots and use of violence against a representative of the authorities. In June 2025, the court sentenced him to four years and two months in a general regime penal colony.
