Case summary
Detained on 11 May 2016 and subsequently taken into custody on charges of participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation. On 24 March 2017, he was sentenced to three years of imprisonment, taking into account a 2013 conviction under a different article. On 18 July, the appeal court reduced the sentence to two and a half years. He was released in October 2018, after which he was assigned administrative supervision and then additional administrative restrictions until the criminal record is expunged.
