Case summary

On 19 December 2022, Armavir City Court sentenced local video game blogger Sergei Orlov to a year in prison on charges of insulting the feelings of believers and illegal drug possession. Earlier, on 16 June 2021, Orlov was sentenced to a year and a half suspended sentence for stealing money from a bank card. On the aggregate of sentences, the court sentenced him to two years' imprisonment in a general regime colony. Orlov was taken into custody in the courtroom.

The defendant pleaded guilty, and accelerated proceedings were used.

Presumably, he was released in December 2024.
