Case summary
Arman Sagynbayev was detained in November 2017 in St. Petersburg and transported to Penza. He was accused of participating in the terrorist community "Set'" and arrested. Syganbaev said that during the investigation he was beaten and tortured by electrocution.
On February 10th, 2020, Sagynbaev was sentenced to six years in a general regime colony. On November 5th, 2023, he was released.
