In March 2020, the Federal Security Service conducted a search in their house. Abdulmedzhit's family has a newborn child.
On August 24, 2023, Federal Security Service officers searched the homes of Crimean Tatars in Bakhchysarai and other settlements of Crimea's Bakhchysarai district and detained six "Crimean Solidarity" activists, including Seitumerov.
