Case summary
11 March 2020 detained after a search. A case was opened for participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation in connection with alleged involvement in the Islamist party Hizb ut-Tahrir, which has no relation to terrorism. The next day, the court decided to take Seytumerov into custody. On 29 October 2021, he was sentenced to 14 years in a strict regime colony.
He has a chronic condition—gastritis. An ambulance was called for him in the Vladimir prison due to an exacerbation.
