Case summary

A resident of Moscow. Late in the evening of 26 November 2013, detained together with twelve other people during a raid on the hostel where he was living at the time. Charged with preparation for a terrorist attack in the Kirgizia cinema and possession of a pistol and ammunition. Human rights activists believe that there is no convincing evidence of his involvement in the crime; in their opinion, the persecution was part of a campaign to pressure muslims. On 22 April 2016, he was sentenced to 12 years's in a strict regime colony. Supposedly released at the end of November 2025.
