Case summary
A resident of Bashkortostan. On January 22, 2024, she was arrested for 13 days under an administrative article for disobeying the lawful demands of police officers (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) for participating in a public gathering on January 17 in Baymak in support of activist Fail Alsynov, who was sentenced to four years in prison. On January 26, Uzianbayeva was taken to Ufa, where she was placed in custody on charges of participating in mass riots in connection with the rally. Later it became known that she was also accused of using violence against a representative of the authorities. On April 7, 2025, Uzianbayeva was sentenced to five and a half years in a general regime colony. On August 5, 2025, the court of appeal reduced the sentence by one month.
