Case summary

A esident of Kazan. On March 14th, 2017, Rustem was detained after a search and then taken into custody on charges of organising activities of a terrorist organisation in connection with his involvement in the Islamist "Hizb-ut-Tahrir" party. On March 13th, 2019, he was sentenced to 20 years in a strict regime penal colony. On April 2nd, 2020, he was placed in solitary confinement immediately upon his arrival at the colony.
