Case summary

Resident of Moscow. On 17 July 2024, it became known that a case was brought against him for insulting the feelings of believers. A video was published in which he apologised but shifted responsibility to some provocateurs. On 19 July Yarmagomedov was taken into custody, and on that day it was reported that he was also accused of distributing pornography, including child pornography. We have no reason to believe that these charges are politically motivated. On 5 December 2024, Yarmagomedov was sentenced to seven years in a general regime colony and a fine of 200,000 rubles.
