Case summary

A resident of the Sverdlovsk region. She was accused of participating in the activities of an extremist organisation. The investigation believed that she was involved in the "citizens of the USSR" movement. Representatives of this movement deny the collapse of the USSR; it is not clear how structured this movement is or how serious a threat it poses to Russian society. Dubina was under a recognisance not to leave. On 14 August 2024, she was sentenced to two years in a general regime colony. On 4 July 2025, on appeal, the term was replaced with a suspended sentence with a two-year probation period.
